Responsibilities:
Electronics Design & Delivery
- Develop production-ready schematics and PCB layouts for main boards.
- Ensure designs meet signal integrity, EMC, thermal, and enclosure integration requirements.
- Optimize component selection for sourcing risk, cost, power, and lifecycle.
Structured Peer Reviews
- Lead and contribute to rigorous schematic and layout reviews with documented decisions.
- Maintain clear, traceable design history for future scaling and handovers.
Compliance & Certification
- Integrate pre-compliance assessments (EMC, CE, safety) into the design phase.
- Apply best PCB layout practices to support lab testing.
- Coordinate with external labs and manage test iterations.
Cross-Disciplinary Integration
- Bring up and debug boards with the embedded team, validating all critical interfaces.
- Align electronics design with mechanical and industrial constraints.
- Include manufacturing, diagnostics, and test support in designs.
Continuity & Engineering Structure
- Document architecture and decisions for seamless handovers.
- Establish engineering practices to ensure long-term reliability.
Requirements:
- Proven end-to-end electronics development experience (schematic design, PCB layout, bring-up, and shipping production boards).
- Strong background in compliance, EMC, CE, and safety testing, with the ability to set up structured testing frameworks.
- Senior-level technical maturity and independence—comfortable “coming to an empty table” and building processes from scratch.
- Skilled in collaborative reviews, documentation, and transparent decision-making.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks early in the design process.
- Self-motivated and driven to work hard as part of a team building something big.
