We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer with expert-level EPLAN P8 skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for rapidly translating single-line diagrams into comprehensive wiring schematics and manufacturing documentation for our EPOD variants. You will leverage your deep knowledge of IEC/NEK standards and collaborate closely with build teams to ensure designs are robust, compliant, and buildable from the switchboard to the final site wiring. Responsibilities:

• Translate single-line diagrams into detailed EPLAN P8 schematics, switchboard arrangements, and bill of materials (BOM).
• Develop, maintain, and expand the macro library to automate repetitive tasks and enhance efficiency.
• Conduct design reviews with build teams to ensure manufacturability and implement feedback.
• Update and maintain as-built documentation to reflect the final constructed state.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant IEC (IEC 60364 as the main standard) and NEK (Norwegian Electrotechnical Committee) standards, particularly for switchboard construction. 
• Generate comprehensive manufacturing documentation packages following tender awards.
• Integrate designs into the switchboard and site wiring level, ensuring a holistic and practical approach.
• Interpret existing wiring diagrams and transform them into complete and detailed schematic sets.
• Collaborate closely with fabrication and installation teams to ensure the buildability and field accuracy of your designs.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience with EPLAN P8
• Need EPLAN experience from industrial sectors (maritime, oil & gas, etc) rather than residential or commercial building projects.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in LV/MV electrical design.
• Expert-level proficiency in EPLAN P8.
• Experience making switchboard general arrangement drawings (EPLAN or AutoCAD).
• A deep understanding of IEC and NEK standards, including NEK 400, especially as they apply to switchboard construction.
• Must know EU LVD (2014/35/EU).
• Demonstrated ability to convert wiring diagrams into comprehensive schematic sets.
• Experience in designing for both switchboard manufacturing and on-site wiring installations.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Travel to Norway once every quarter (so the candidates should be based in Europe)

Preferred:

• Experience with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and data center power infrastructure.
• Proficiency in EPLAN scripting or other automation tools to streamline design processes.
• Experience with EPLAN ProPanel.
• Training in EPLAN preferred (e.g., courses), but can also be self-taught

Salary: 

Up to €6,000 per month (excluding fees), based on experience and qualifications.
